Bee Star traces its origins to a beekeeping family, founded in 1950. Beekeeper Shen gained renown for his expertise: his colonies were consistently stronger than others, yielding more bee products. Forty years ago, Shen expanded his business with his extended family and relatives, growing their honeybee colonies significantly before establishing their own small honey processing plant and beeswax factory. Later, they branched out into producing beehives, bee smokers, beekeeping suits, and more.

Today, the entire family and relative network operates over 1,000 apiaries, along with a honey and royal jelly processing plant, a beeswax factory, and a beekeeping equipment factory—all supporting one another to thrive collectively. After successfully serving China’s domestic beekeeping market, the group expanded further and established an International Trade Department a decade ago, venturing into exports. Bee Star now takes charge of exporting products from the family-owned factories.
