Natural wax extracted from honeycomb walls through melting, draining, filtering, or centrifuging. Refined using steam or hot water with activated carbon and/or diatomaceous earth to remove impurities.
Derived from honeycombs and bleached to achieve a pure white/transparent color using peroxide, sunlight (preferred method), or bleaching earth. Activated carbon removes any residual peroxide.
Beeswax, also known as yellow wax, is a fatty substance secreted by four pairs of wax glands in the abdomen of worker bees.
